Inlays/Onlays Inlays and onlays are types of restorations that are made of porcelain, gold or composite resin. They are custom made to fit between (inlay) or over (onlay) the cusps of your teeth. Restoring your teeth with an inlay or onlay involves preparing your tooth, taking an impression and sending the impression to the lab to have the restoration made, or fabricating the restoration in office using the Cerac system. This procedure can be completed in either one or two office visits.
Bridges A bridge is used to replace a lost tooth or teeth. Bridges are secured to adjacent teeth with crowns, inlays or attached to dental implants. It is important to replace missing teeth with a bridge so that neighboring teeth do not shift out of position, causing further problems. Also your ability to chew is greatly enhanced with the placement of a bridge. The procedure often requires only two visits.
Implants A dental implant consists of a tiny titanium post that is inserted into the gum and acts as an anchor for the fabricated crown. A dental implant is an ideal treatment for replacing missing teeth.
Crowns A crown, commonly known as a cap, is a restoration that completely covers your tooth and can be made from porcelain or gold. You may require a crown if you'e had root canal therapy, a filling has failed, your have a large cavity or old filling, or if you would like to improve the appearance of your tooth. Crowns usually require two visits, or they can be made in our office using the Cerac System in one visit.
Veneers Veneers are thin shells of porcelain that are bonded to the front of your anterior teeth. They can be used to correct teeth that have an irregular shape or an unappealing colour. Veneers can be fabricated in a lab and require two office visits, or they can be made in our office in one visit using the Cerac System.
